TUCG
The Trade Union Co-ordinating Group (TUCG) brings together your Union and eight other national unions (BFAWU, FBU, NAPO, NUJ, NUT, PCS, POA, RMT, UCU) to co-ordinate campaigning activities in Parliament and beyond.
Aims and objectives
The TUCG will promote greater co-operation and co-ordination between its members with regards to Parliamentary representation on its key issues and will work alongside supportive Members of Parliament on a cross-party basis with the specific purpose of representing the unions in the promotion of its key policy objectives, in particular:

The eradication of low pay and the protection of working people's living standards by opposition to cuts in pay and pensions, the securing of a decent minimum wage and properly negotiated wage settlements

Opposition to the privatisation of public services and returning already-privatised sectors/services back into public ownership with adequate investment and funding

The promotion of trade union rights, in particular the enactment of the Trade Union Freedom Bill

The promotion of equalities legislation to eliminate discrimination in pay, and conditions of employment

The promotion of a welfare state providing a decent living standard and dignity for those on social security, including a basic state pension rising in line with earnings

The setting of a new legislative framework for health and safety to ensure the laws and resources are available to secure quality of life at work.
